Kathmandu. Nabil Bank has been awarded with the ‘Bikash Nayak 2082’ award. The bank was awarded as an Institutional Hero at the Development Debate and Development Hero Honor Ceremony organized by Bikash Media.
The award ceremony was handed over to CEO of Nabil Bank Mr. Manoj Gyawali by Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal in the presence of Chairman of Nabil Bank Upendra Prasad Poudel. Nabil Bank has been awarded with the award in recognition of its significant contribution to the economic development of Nepal through the financial sector including insurance sector.
Nabil Bank has been leading the banking sector in Nepal for over four decades through financial inclusion, digital innovation and investment in priority sectors. Expansion of access to quality financial services, nationwide digital banking, promotion of entrepreneurship and employment, and significant contribution to national revenue are some of the major achievements of Nabil Bank.
Commenting on the honour, CEO Gyawali said, “It is a matter of pride for Nabil Bank to receive the Bikash Nayak 2082 award. This award is also an acknowledgement of Nabil Bank’s four decades long nation building journey. It further strengthened our commitment to achieving sustainable economic growth through financial inclusion, digital innovation, job creation, revenue support, energy and infrastructure development,” he added. Saying that the honour has supported the vision of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’, he said the honour had given energy to contribute to the country’s development.
Nabil Bank was established as the first joint venture bank in 1984 while playing a pivotal role in the banking transformation of Nepal.
