. KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Bishwa Prakash Poudel has questioned Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s faction which of the eight points proposed for consensus was against the interest of the country and the Nepali Congress.

An eight-point proposal was put forward this morning with the objective of consensus to resolve the dispute seen in the party.TAG_OPEN_div_33 The proposal included taking ownership of the special general convention as a share, implementing the proposal passed with amendments, not playing an active role on the party president and not signing the candidacy paper.

Likewise, the proposal included forming a parliamentary board for the selection of candidates, for the NC to contest the upcoming elections, for the NC to contest alone without forging an alliance with any political party, for the NC to announce its candidate for the prime minister in the upcoming elections and to form a five-member structure for coordination and implementation of all these decisions.TAG_OPEN_div_31

Proposal

1. Sharing ownership of the Special Convention

2. Implementing resolutions passed with special convention amendments

3. The President does not play an active role, during which the President does not sign the candidacy letter

4. Constituting a parliamentary board to select candidates

5. To unite in the upcoming elections

6. Nepali Congress will contest alone in the upcoming elections without forging an alliance with any party

7. The Nepali Congress will announce the candidate for the Prime Minister in the upcoming elections

8. To form a five-member structure to coordinate and implement all these works. In addition to the acting president and two general secretaries, there will be two more leaders
