Kathmandu. The interest rate of commercial banks has not stopped decreasing yet.
The bank’s interest rate fell by 0.15 percentage points in January compared to the previous month.
The interest rate has come down due to the high liquidity of the bank. The bank’s average interest rate on fixed deposits was 4.834 percent in December. The average interest rate effective from January 15 is 4.684 percent.
In January, 11 banks reduced interest rates, while Prime Bank’s interest rate increased by 0.15 percent to 4.40 percent. The interest rate was 4.25 percent in January.
They are Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank, Himalayan Bank, Siddhartha Bank, Sanima Bank, Citizens Bank, Kumari Bank, Everest Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, Nepal SBI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
The interest rates of the remaining 8 banks remain stable.
