Kathmandu. The National Cooperative Federation of Nepal (NCFN) is going to organize the second Youth and Technology Conference 2082.
The conference is being organized by the National Cooperative Federation of Nepal with the support of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
The theme of the conference is ‘Youth Leadership in Technology-Friendly Enterprises’. The program aims to identify and promote the role and potential of youth in technology-enabled entrepreneurship. The event will identify employment and business opportunities through the promotion of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, network among technology and service providers for collaboration, partnership and collaboration, and prepare recommendations for policy, legal and structural reforms for the formation of youth and technology-friendly cooperative campaign.
Easy access to youth-friendly technology, quality skills, educational opportunities, and lack of sensitive approach towards youths in policy making have compelled many youths to go abroad in search of employment and opportunities. The federation has stated that coordination between the government, cooperatives and the private sector would be made more necessary at a time when there has been a strong desire to develop technology-friendly enterprises through cooperatives.
The second National Conference on Cooperatives, Youth and Technology focused on the theme of ‘Youth Leadership in Technology-Friendly Enterprises’ will be a common platform to assimilate the perspectives, needs and possibilities of the young generation. The conference will pave the way for capacity mobilization of youths, use of technology in cooperatives, cooperative and cooperative enterprises, employment generation and sustainable economic empowerment.
The Summit is expected to address the growing trend of Gen Z’s tech-savvy thinking and entrepreneurial aspirations in Nepal.
The programme will act as a bridge between policy formulation and practical implementation to ensure technology development, skill development, good governance and financial inclusion through cooperatives.
The program will facilitate youth attraction and leadership development in cooperatives, encourage cooperative entrepreneurship and businesses to become technology-friendly, facilitate coordination between cooperatives and technology, expand the possibility of collaboration between government, private sector and cooperatives, provide suggestions for improving policy and legal environment and facilitate exchange of new technology.
