Kathmandu. The stock market is positive due to the election atmosphere. The stock market rose significantly on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index surged by 57.55 points to close at 2,772.17 points on Thursday. Along with the stock market, the trading volume has also increased today.
The trading volume also increased along with the stock market on Sunday. Today, the transaction was worth Rs 13.78 billion. Shares worth Rs 9.07 billion were traded on Thursday, the last trading day of the previous week.
The indices of all 13 sub-groups increased today. Among them, the hotel and tourism sub-group index increased by 3.35 percent today. The indices of hydropower, investment, life insurance and production and processing sub-group increased by more than 2 percent each.
Shares of 9 companies that were traded today were trading at positive circuit levels. Share of SY Panel Nepal, Shreenagar Agritech, Nepal Micro Insurance, Bandipur Kewalkar, Himstar Energy, Mabilung Energy, Reliance Finance, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company and Trishuli Hydropower Company were traded in the positive circuit level today.
Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Ltd topped the list on the basis of turnover on the day. Shares worth Rs 43.59 crore were traded today. Today, shares of Green Ventures worth Rs 39.5 crore have been traded while the turnover of Shivam Cements has crossed Rs 32 crore.
