Rasuwa Customs Office collects Rs 1.16 billion revenue

Rasuwa. Rasuwa Customs Office has collected Rs 1.16 billion in revenue in the first six months of the current fiscal year. Currently, about two hundred cargo containers are being tested.

The office celebrated the Customs Day on Monday by organizing a special program. Chief Customs Officer Bhattarai said that the Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Committee is removing the stones and sand piled up at the dry port area due to the flooding in Lhende River on July 7. According to him, the sanitation work so far has created an environment to accommodate around 250 trucks while some parts are yet to be cleaned.

On the occasion, two businessmen and four employees were honoured for their outstanding work.TAG_OPEN_div_17 CG Motor Suppliers, which paid Rs 3.21 billion in revenue by importing electric vehicles in the last fiscal year and Finzo Sonam Suppliers, Kathmandu for exporting goods worth Rs 740 million, were honoured. On the occasion, non-gazetted first class officer Ramesh Gyawali, electrician Raju Oli, light vehicle driver Shyam Kumar Silwal and office helper Naresh Dutta Joshi were honoured.
