6 banks earn Rs 7.41 billion, which bank earned how much?

Kathmandu. In the first six months of the current fiscal year 2081÷82, six commercial banks have earned a net profit of Rs 7.41 billion. Out of 20 commercial banks in operation, only six banks have made their financial statements public so far.

According to the report, the net profit of the six banks decreased by 9.22 percent compared to the same period of the last FY. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 8.17 billion in the same period last year.

Among the 6 banks, Everest Bank is the highest profitable bank. The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 2.11 billion in the first six months of the current FY. The profit of the bank increased by 2.04 percent compared to the previous year.

Similarly, Nepal Bank has become the largest growing bank with a net profit of Rs 1.30 billion. The profit of the bank increased by 183.04 percent compared to the previous year.

Machhapuchchhre Bank earned a net profit of Rs 1,011.73 crore in the first six months of the current fiscal year, up 25.25 percent from the previous year.

During this period, the profit of some banks has decreased. Nepal Investment Bank (NIBL) Mega Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 1.61 billion. The profit of the bank decreased by 43.05 percent compared to the last FY.

Prabhu Bank has a net profit of Rs 1.01 billion. The net profit of the bank has decreased by 24.08 percent compared to the previous year.

Similarly, Citizens Bank earned a net profit of Rs 35.88 crore, down 45.78 percent from the previous year.
