Kathmandu. The technical glitch seen on the website of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has been resolved after one and a half hours.
According to NEPSE Spokesperson Murhari Parajuli, the share price of some companies was zero after the close of today’s trading.
“The overall index saw a big drop as the closing prices of some companies showed zero. It’s a technical error and the problem has been resolved,” he said.
Today, the NEPSE index rose by 19.27 points to close at 2,674.20, but after half an hour of trading, the index fell by 885.32 points to close at 1,769. This is a decline of 33.34 percent. There was confusion among the investors after the NEPSE index suddenly fell by a big point, while some investors had complained on social media that such problems have started repeating repeatedly.
Spokesperson Parajuli said that the technical team of NEPSE has resolved the problem and the index has been seen in the previous condition.
