Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that all preparations for the election to the House of Representatives scheduled for Thursday have been completed. In a virtual meeting with the Chief District Officers of all 77 districts held at the Ministry this morning, it was shared that all managerial works including election security and management have been completed.
A virtual meeting of the Chief District Officers of all 77 districts chaired by Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha took stock of the poll preparedness and security management in all 77 districts.
Joint Spokesperson at the Ministry, Rama Acharya, said that the meeting dwelt on the issues related to election preparations and security arrangements. During the meeting, Chief District Officers of all districts informed that all preparations for the election have been completed and the security situation is normal.
The meeting dwelt on the issues related to election preparedness of the district, existing situation and coordination to be made by the center. Joint Spokesperson Acharya said that the agreement was reached to formulate future strategy after reviewing the state of peace and security, the alertness to be adopted on the day of the election and security sensitivity.
Home Secretary Shrestha directed the Chief District Officers to strengthen the election security. During the meeting, Chief District Officers of all the districts informed that all the employees’ security mechanism and election materials have reached the polling stations.
