Kathmandu. More than 30 per cent voter turnout has been recorded in Makwanpur till 1 pm in the election to the House of Representatives. According to Hari Prasad Dhakal, chief of the State Election Office, the voting is taking place peacefully throughout the district. There are 3,15,334 voters in Makwanpur.

There are 158,435 voters in Constituency No. 1 and 156,899 in Constituency No. 2. There are 153,376 females, 161,953 males and five other voters.

A total of 374 polling stations in 167 polling stations in 102 wards of the district have seen enthusiastic voter turnout since this morning. According to the Election Office, the voting process is going ahead in a peaceful and systematic manner.
