Kathmandu. The President and the Vice President did not take part in today’s election to the House of Representatives. As the guardians of the constitution, they did not vote, maintaining neutrality.

President Ram Chandra Poudel is the guardian of the Constitution and guardian of the nation, said President’s press advisor Kiran Pokharel. Earlier, President Poudel had cast his vote from the Satyawati Secondary School voting centre in Byas Municipality, Tanahun.

Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav did not take part in the voting process due to constitutional neutrality, according to Dinesh Yadav, Press Advisor to the Vice-President. He had cast his vote from a polling centre in Basbariya of Bara in the previous elections.
