Aryal elected vice-president of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) in Kathmandu-9

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal has been elected to the House of Representatives from Kathmandu-9.

Aryal who is also the vice-president of the RSP and coordinator of the Federal Election Execution Committee garnered 35,093 votes. His nearest rival was NC’s Nanumaiya Bastola who got 5,460 votes.

According to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, Ajaya Kranti Shakya of CPN-UML got 4,580 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Dil Kumar Karki got 1,457 votes and Radha Krishna Maharjan of Nepali Communist Party got 1,328 votes.

A total of 24 candidates including various political parties and independent candidates were contesting in the constituency as per the final results of the House of Representatives election held on Thursday.
