Morang. Rubina Acharya of Rastriya Swatantra Party has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Morang-6.

As per the final election results released by the Office of the Chief Election Officer Constituency No. 6 this morning, Acharya secured 55,513 votes, according to Chief Election Officer Chitra Bahadur Gurung.

Dr Shekhar Koirala of Nepali Congress got 12,850 votes. Similarly, Binod Prasad Dhakal of CPN-UML got 8,317 votes, Matrika Poudel of Labour Culture Party got 3,400 votes and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Sabin Niraula got 2,090 votes.

A total of 137,832 voters were cast in the constituency and 91,292 votes were cast. There are a total of 17 candidates in the constituency including various political parties and independents.
