Kathmandu. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Nepal. He took to Facebook to congratulate him.

“As Nepal’s close friend and neighbour, India remains steadfast in its commitment to work closely with the people and the new government to take shared peace, progress and prosperity to newer heights,” the statement said.

“I would like to congratulate the people and the government of Nepal for the successful and peaceful conduct of the elections. “It gives me immense pleasure to see my Nepali sisters and brothers exercising their democratic rights so enthusiastically,” he wrote on Facebook.
