Morang. Santosh Rajbanshi of Rastriya Swatantra Party has been elected to the House of Representatives from Morang-4.

Rajbanshi garnered 40,833 votes to win the election held on Thursday, according to election officer Ghanendra Adhikari.

His nearest rival was NC General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire who got 12,818 votes, according to the Election Officer Office in Constituency No. 4.

Likewise, Aman Lal Modi of Nepali Communist Party (NCP) got 10,762 votes and Jeevan Ghimire of CPN-UML got 6,933 votes.

A total of 119,255 voters were cast in the constituency and 80,084 votes were cast. A total of 19 candidates including independent and political parties contested the election.
