. The District Police Range has arrested two persons on the charge of cheating people on the pretext of releasing them on bail.

The arrestees have been identified as Hari Bahadur Thapa Magar, 45, and Anita Thapa Magar aka Mithu Magar, 37, of Budhanilkantha municipality, Mandikhatar of Kathmandu, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai.

“Hari Bahadur Thapa Magar was arrested on the charge of cheating his wife Mithu Magar (Anita Thapa Magar) by depositing Rs 900,000 in the bank account of his wife Mithu Magar (Anita Thapa Magar) on the promise of releasing them on bail by promising to release them on bail after their involvement in criminal activities during the protest on September 7 and 24 । ”

Further investigation into the case is underway, said Bhattarai.
