Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs (FNTE) has urged people not to travel long distances during night hours and except for essential purposes.

Issuing a press release on Wednesday, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNJ) has urged all to exercise precaution while travelling, saying there is a risk of flood, landslide and other disasters on the road due to the incessant rainfall.

The Federation has also urged its members and passengers to get information about the condition of roads and weather before operating vehicles or traveling.

The Federation has also urged one and all not to travel long routes except the most essential ones as there is a risk of flood, landslide and road disruption on some roads due to incessant rain.

Earlier, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) had urged the public and concerned not to travel at night and long distances in view of the possible risks.
