KATHMANDU: The 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress (NC) is beginning at an open forum in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The 15th general convention of the Congress will be formally inaugurated at 2 pm on Sunday, said NC spokesperson Devraj Chalise. The Congress has made arrangements for parking vehicles at eight places for the participants and delegates coming to the convention venue.

According to NC central committee member Bijay Bahadur Swar, who is also the coordinator of the Transport Management Committee under the NC General Convention Organizing Committee, the underground parking lot of Dharahara, the parking lot of Salt Trading next to the buggy house, the old bus park area, the parking lot of Bhrikutimandap, the parking lot of Rastriya Sabha Hall, the Pragya Pratishthan and the parking lot of Annapurna Hotel at Durbar Marg have been designated for the delegates.

Similarly, Swar said that the traffic police and the District Police Range, Kathmandu have coordinated with the Kathmandu Valley to park a portion of the road between Maitighar Mandala and Bhadrakali for the big buses carrying the general convention delegates from outside the Kathmandu Valley. The parking lot of Dharahara Underground Ground and Annapurna Hotel will be charged while it will be free in other places.

The Congress has urged the leaders and cadres to park their vehicles at the designated place. The Congress has also urged the representatives and leaders and cadres to arrange vehicles in the designated parking area of the area where they have brought their vehicles. The Congress has said that this will make it easier to manage the traffic of vehicles.
