Kathmandu. General Secretary of the Labour and Culture Party, Aren Rai, has said that the Nepali Congress was not based on rumors but was established through long struggle and sacrifice.

Addressing the inaugural session of the party’s 15th general convention here today, leader Rai said the NC had played a significant role in establishing democracy and democracy in the country.

“We read and watched a lot of the history of the Nepali Congress. The Nepali Congress is not really a party founded by rumors,” he said.

Rai said that in the history of the Congress, many leaders and cadres have contributed to the nation building by giving up personal dreams. “This is a party that was formed by killing their personal dreams, giving up dreams for nation building,” he said.

Rai said that the NC should give priority to how well it can work in favour of the people rather than how long it will remain in power in the coming days.
