Kathmandu. In order to make the baggage management of passengers at Tribhuvan International Airport more transparent, systematic and passenger-friendly, live feed of the baggage drop area has now been made available in the baggage claim area of the arrival area.

This system, initiated by Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadakraj Poudel ‘Ganesh’, will allow passengers coming to Nepal on international flights to get direct information about the process of reaching the baggage belt after unloading their luggage from the plane. It is expected that this will make it easier for the passengers to get information about the condition of the baggage and also help in estimating the time taken to receive the baggage.

Earlier, there was no provision for passengers to get direct information about the time taken to arrive in the baggage claim area. Passengers were confused while waiting for the baggage to arrive and there was not enough information about the baggage management process. It is believed that the new system will make the waiting time of passengers more easy and systematic as the activities happening in the baggage drop area can be seen in the arrival hall.

In recent times, Minister Poudel has taken serious initiatives to improve the service of the airport, use of technology and prioritize the convenience of passengers. This initiative is expected to make the service experience of Tribhuvan International Airport more effective and passenger-friendly. It is seen as an effort to improve the quality of passenger service, transparency in service delivery, and develop the airport according to international standards through the use of modern technology.
