Kathmandu. On Thursday, the last day of weekly share trading, the NEPSE index again decreased. The stock market closed lower on Sunday.
On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 4.28 points to close at 2,645.24 points. Likewise, the sensitive float index decreased by 1.72 points, the float index by 0.50 points and the sensitive float index by 0.76 points.
Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also decreased. Shares worth Rs 7.08 billion were traded on Sunday and Rs 4.71 billion was traded on Monday.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups have fallen. The index of the remaining 8 sub-groups decreased. The indices of development banks, finance, hydropower, production and processing and microfinance sub-groups increased on the day.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Monday released the monetary policy for the first quarter of its fiscal year. However, it has not had any effect on the stock market.
