Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Prof. Dr. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has said that selling someone else’s collateral for profit is part of corruption.

Speaking at the 16th annual general meeting of NAFIZ, Governor Poudel said that such activities would be taken seriously.

If the government asks for money from the government banks to arrange it, then the government takes the risk. But if this happens from private banks, we will take it seriously,” said Governor Poudel, “Any person trying to take advantage by forcibly selling the collateral to another is part of corruption.” Nepal Rastra Bank does not take this as an excuse. ’

Similarly, Governor Poudel said that the NRB has revised various policies to make economic activities dynamic. He said, “In the first quarter review of the monetary policy, we have made it easier for financial institutions to increase their profits. We have opened the way for the closure of branches of many banks in the metropolis. ’

Governor Poudel said that Nepal Rastra Bank is working to help the banks to accelerate the economy by focusing on digital transactions by making good profit and investment. “We are focusing on the profit of banks and financial institutions. But we will prepare a policy on what is right and what is wrong. We are moving ahead after seeing everyone’s complaints,” said Governor Poudel.

He said that Nepal Rastra Bank is focused on investing the money deposited in banks and financial institutions.

“The movement of the economy depends on mass psychology. A lot has changed in the last 10 years. In the meantime, significant progress has been made in the field of IT from Himalayan Java. Good progress has been made in road and infrastructure in various places,” he said.

The Governor assured that Nepal would also pick up the pace of improvement as Sri Lanka was in a difficult situation. He said that we should focus on good work.

Governor Poudel said that there is a need to raise the morale of the government as it is weak at present. “We are strong on economic policies. But morale is low. To lift the weak morale, it is necessary to focus on good things. For example, cardamom, which is doing well in exports, should be promoted. We can go to a good line for what we need. ’

Governor Poudel accused the general public and high-ranking people of sending their children abroad saying that nothing would happen in Nepal. Speaking at the program, he said, “For more than a decade, all the children were sent abroad thinking that nothing will happen in this country. They should all be brought back. But they should not be made ministers and taken into the political race. ’

Governor Poudel said that there is no formula to do anything overnight so it should be done gradually. He said that being a ‘failure’ is not a bad thing, but good stories should be prioritized. He said, “I will look at Min Bahadur ji. He said he would do it in two months. Accordingly, he did it. ’

Stating that Nepal Rastra Bank has been studying the arrangement of blacklist, he said, “Many of us are blacklisted. There is a model like microfinance in the construction industry. If one person does not do well, it is like keeping everyone. ’
