7.75 trillion remittances received in 4 months

Kathmandu. In the first four months of the current fiscal year, 7.75 trillion remittances have been received. The remittance inflow in the first four months of the current fiscal year 2082÷83 has increased by 31.4 per cent and reached Rs 687.13 billion. The remittance inflow had grown by 9.4 per cent in the same period of the previous year.

The remittance inflow stood at Rs 133.82 billion in mid-November, 2022. The remittance inflow in the same period of the previous year had stood Rs. 114.31 billion.

In the review period, the remittance inflow in US Dollars increased by 25.3 per cent and reached Rs 4.88 billion. The remittance inflow had grown by 8.2 per cent the year before that. During the review period, the second income (self-transfer) was Rs. 754.93 billion. Such income had been Rs.569.29 billion in the same period of the previous year.

Number of Nepalis taking final labour permit (institutional or personal – new) for foreign employment in the review period stood at 145,973 while the number of those taking re-labour permit was 127,837. Such cases were 147,478 and 94,105 respectively in the same period of the previous year.
