Kathmandu. Cooperatives have started to face the problem of misappropriation of money while doing electronic payment transactions with various software and technology service providers.

Cooperatives are providing electronic services by signing agreements with various software companies. This is a tripartite agreement provided by the cooperative.

Software is provided by one company and financial services by another company. Due to this, the co-operatives themselves are being cheated. Recently, a similar incident took place at the Rashtrasevak Savings and Credit Cooperative in Biratnagar-9 of Morang district.

The company was providing mobile banking services through Synergytech software and mobile finance technology. A complaint has been lodged at the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police after the cooperatives suddenly went missing Rs 1,975,893. It was found that the amount was transferred from the account of the cooperative between 6:30 pm and 9:45 pm on November 12 and from 9:45 am to 11:45 am on November 12.

In the complaint filed by the organization, it is stated that 19,75,893 subscribers have been leaked by using the same number of Ncell by using the same number of Ncell without the knowledge of the employees, board of directors and concerned shareholders by accessing the savings account and periodic savings account that the organization has not allowed to carry out any transaction ।

According to the complaint, it is stated that such misconduct is possible only by a person who has access to the database of Mobile Finance Technology by using an unauthorized mobile number. The manager of the cooperative, Krishna Bhattarai, said that he has lodged a complaint with the police after he came to know that the money has gone out of the system. He says that this can only be done with mobile finance technology. The cooperative had been using mobile finance technology’s ‘Moffin’ app for mobile banking transactions.

Although the complaint was filed with the Cyber Bureau, it was said that the incident took place through mobile finance, but it is not yet clear who did this work for what purpose. Police are investigating the matter. However, there is no problem with the synergistic software. It is said that there is no problem with the software as there is no problem with the software.
