Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Prof Dr Bishwanath Poudel has summoned the chief executive officers (CEOs) of banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to complain about the loan issue.

Speaking at a program organized here today, Governor Poudel said that there was no proper monitoring of the excessive loan disbursed in the past and now those who need it have not been able to get it. He also said that effective monitoring of loans should be increased in the coming days.

Governor Poudel said that there is still a problem of real customers not getting loans. According to the CEO, Governor Poudel has asked to bring a loan product for the genuine borrowers.

He said that the problem has increased as the branch heads of the banks are not aware of the products brought by the banks.
