Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Banking Sector Reform Advisory Task Force formed by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has suggested that the Agriculture Development Bank (ADB) and HIDCL be transformed into Energy Infrastructure Development Banks.

The taskforce has suggested the Agriculture Development Bank (ADB), which has been making significant contribution in the agriculture sector, to further focus on the country’s economic development through energy and infrastructure in the days ahead.

The task force has also recommended Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to carry out a detailed study on developing HIDCL (Hydro Energy Development and Investment Company) as an energy infrastructure bank with the participation of the private sector.
