Kathmandu. The Miteri Bridge at Rasuwagadhi, which was damaged by the floods on July 7, is to be brought into operation after six months. The border point is to be brought into operation from Sunday.

Issuing a notice today, the Chinese side informed that Nepalis will be allowed to travel to and from the border point from Sunday.

Drivers and passengers involved in cross-border transportation will be allowed to enter the bridge from Sunday as the construction of the Miteri Bailey Bridge has been completed and the inspection has also passed. The Chinese side also urged all concerned parties to complete all necessary preparations and make advance preparations including loading of vehicles.

From January 1, the customs office will inspect the entry and exit of vehicles and allow the movement of vehicles. During this period, one-way rotation system will be strictly enforced. The bridge was built with Chinese investment.
