Jhapa. The highest amount of cardamom has been exported from Kakarvitta border point in the first five months of the current fiscal year. Information Officer at the office, Ishwar Kumar Humagain, said that India exported cardamom worth Rs 5.53 billion during the period.

According to the office, tea worth Rs 1.85 billion and plywood worth Rs 837 million were exported during the period. Similarly, the export also included chhurpi worth Rs 485.27 million, veneer seat worth Rs 44.99 crore, ginger and dry ginger worth Rs 374.45 million, cauliflower and cabbage worth Rs 11.31 crore.

Similarly, lentils worth Rs 91.2 million and iron sheets worth Rs 378,83,000 were exported, according to the customs.
