Kathmandu. Ncell, in a significant step towards improving the quality and accessibility of its 4G network, installed 250 new towers throughout the country within 2025. It has also added capacity to 2,200 towers, enabling customers to enjoy clearer voice and high-speed data services.

The strengthening and expansion of this 4G network has come at a time when reliable connectivity is becoming more and more essential for security, education, businesses and staying connected with the loved ones. New towers have been installed and brought into operation in various local levels of all seven provinces, especially focusing on Madhes, Lumbini, Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

In terms of province level, Ncell has provided 4G service in Sabhapokhari of Dailekh, Purtimkanda of Rukum (West) and Bagchaur of Salyan among other local levels of Karnali Province. The towers have also been installed in Ladagada of Doti, Banjariya of Kailali and Saraswati Tole of Kanchanpur, among other places. Similarly, the locals have been benefited from high-quality voice and mobile broadband service after the installation of new towers in dozens of places including Hanumannagar of Siraha, Bhimpur of Saptari and Musharniya of Dhanusha.

“Now it’s a very good net at home. It has been much better than before,” said Anisha Mandal of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-17, Manharpur. A BBA student, he is one of thousands of customers across the country who have benefited from the operation of the new towers. “I need a lot of mobile and internet to study. The net is essential to view college notices online, exchange notes, learn what you don’t understand on YouTube, ChatGPT. Again, the brothers are abroad, they should also talk to them regularly. ”

Out of 250 towers, 197 were installed in the last two and half months while 53 new towers were brought into operation through the optimum utilization of stock and spare equipment. The company had expedited the installation of new towers after the Nepal Telecommunication Authority facilitated the facilitation that had been stalled for a long time.

“The addition of these new towers and the enhanced sites across the country will help provide mobile broadband and quality voice services to our customers at local levels and locations in respective provinces. This has further enhanced the importance of 4G connectivity,” said Upang Dutta, Chief Consumer Business Officer of Ncell. “This network improvement and expansion is a step towards ensuring access to better connectivity which is of great importance to basic communication, business, study and every customer who wants to be connected at all times by trusting us.” Quality service and high-speed data is not just about speed, it’s about trust, opportunity, and access in the digital world. ”

In terms of number of new towers, more than 100 towers have been installed in Madhesh Province, followed by 40 in Lumbini and 35 in Koshi Province. Likewise, additional towers have been installed in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Even when import of new equipments was banned, Ncell continued its 4G improvement and expansion work by installing 53 new towers using stock and spare equipment.

This expansion will further strengthen access to the 4G network for customers throughout the country and further improve the quality of service. In line with its commitment to deliver world-class service and customer experience through modern technology and network, Ncell launched 4G from Jeth 2074, ensuring access to high-speed mobile broadband. The service has been expanded to all 77 districts and covers more than 95% of the total population.
