Taplejung. The 73-megawatt Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower has resumed power generation.

Administrative Chief and Environment Officer of the Power House Karan Gautam said that the power generation has resumed after the technical problems surfaced in the powerhouse were resolved.

He said that the production has started by completing the regular maintenance work that should have been carried out every year at a time when some equipment had technical problems.

The project started generating electricity two years back has been connected to the central grid through Basantapur substation. This project is the highest capacity of the hydropower projects operating in the district.
