Prabhu Bank earns a net profit of Rs 1.1 billion, what are the other indicators?

Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 1.01 billion in the first six months of the current FY. This is 24 percent less than the same period last year.

The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1.33 billion in the same period last year.

During this period, the bank’s net interest income has increased. In the second quarter of the last FY, the net interest income was Rs 4.86 billion, which was Rs 4.98 billion.

The operating income of the company stood at Rs 6.66 billion as of mid-January of the previous FY. In the same period of the current FY, it has reached Rs 6.69 billion. The bank’s operating profit declined to Rs 1.96 billion from Rs 2.52 billion.

The bank’s earnings per share declined from Rs 11.35 to Rs 8.62 while the bank’s net worth per share stood at Rs 146.17. The NPL of the bank has increased from 5.06 percent to 7.94 percent.

The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 23.54 billion and reserve fund of Rs 14.22 billion. During the period, the bank extended loans of Rs. 227.32 billion and collected deposit of Rs. 340.73 billion.
