Karnali. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has completed the construction of Kohalpur-Surkhet 132 kV transmission line.
Under the Kohalpur-Surkhet-Dailekh 132 kV transmission line jointly constructed by the Nepal government and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kohalpur-Surkhet section has been completed.
According to Sashi Bhusan Shah, chief of the Kohalpur-Surkhet-Dailekh 132 KV transmission line project, Nepal Electricity Authority Karnali Province Chief Sashi Bhusan Shah.
A test run of 132 KV electricity will begin from January 29 from Kohalpur substation in Banke to Subbakuna of Surkhet through 132 KV double circuit transmission line to integrate the transmission line into the national grid. According to him, the transmission line will come into operation after the test along Banke, Bardiya and Surkhet routes.
The NEA has requested the public not to climb up on the towers of the transmission line, not to touch any objects, not to go around the towers, cattle not to come near the towers, not to touch the electricity structures showing danger signs and also to caution the children not to come near the towers. It has also urged the people to inform the authority or the nearest police if they encounter any danger or danger during the test.
