Kathmandu. The Investment Board Nepal has designated Under Secretary Manoj Regmi as the Economic Diplomacy Liaison Person to coordinate in facilitating and promoting international investment in Nepal through economic diplomacy.

Joint Secretary at Investment Board Nepal Hemraj Tamang said that the Economic Diplomat Liaison would coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nepali diplomatic missions abroad to facilitate for the increase of investment in Nepal. They will also play a role in exchanging information and resolving the emerging problems to the international community about investment in Nepal.

In a meeting organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Investment Board some time back, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions abroad expressed the view that the foreign diplomatic missions could play positive role to understand about investment in Nepal and increase investment if there is a contact person. The Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) has informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that it has appointed a contact person for economic diplomacy.
