President Poudel urges Japanese business community to invest in agriculture, hydropower and tourism sectors

. President Ram Chandra Poudel has urged the Japanese business community to explore business opportunities in Nepal. The ambassador expressed the government’s commitment to provide every possible support to the Japanese business community for investment and trade in Nepal.

President Poudel said this while addressing an interaction program with members of business community of Japan organized in Tokyo, Japan today on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan.TAG_OPEN_div_30 He said Nepal wants to forge close partnership with the Japanese private sector.

“We have created a stable macroeconomic environment with attractive return on investment, easy process for profit and return of capital.TAG_OPEN_div_28 “As we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan, this is an opportune moment to deepen cooperation between our two sides in areas of mutual benefit,” he said. Stating that Nepal and Japan have cultural ties since time immemorial, President Poudel said, “The victory of peace is that in which no one is defeated.” ”

He also urged Chinese investors to invest and do business in Nepal without any hesitation, urging them to make Nepal rich and Japan to reap benefits by investing in agriculture, water resources and tourism.TAG_OPEN_div_26 “Nepal and Japan have excellent relations based on goodwill, friendship and cooperation. } “The Investment Board of Nepal provides a one-door service to large investors, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and major international evaluation agencies have confirmed through independent evaluations that Nepal will provide one of the most favourable business environments in South Asia,” said President Poudel. He expressed the belief that Nepal’s position between the world’s two emerging economies, India and China, would provide greater benefits to the potential investors.
