Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has accepted the resignation tendered by Krishna Prasad Poudel, chief secretary of the party’s central office, on January 22, 2082.

On behalf of the Nepali Congress party and on personal behalf, President Thapa extended heartfelt thanks to Poudel for discharging his responsibility as the Chief Secretary since May 10, 2073 as per the party statute, regulations and policies. I also wish him a very bright future and expressed confidence that he would continue to support him in the days to come.”

According to the Rule 25 (10) of the Nepali Congress Statute 2017 (with amendment), Rule 46 (c) of the Regulations 2076 BS and Rule 14 (a) of the Employees Bylaws 2079, Secretary of the Central Office Krishna Prasad Dulal has been assigned the responsibility of the acting Chief Secretary of the Central Office until further arrangement.
