Rs 3.25 billion revenue collected in Hetauda

. Hetauda-based Inland Revenue Office collected Rs 800.89 million in revenue last month.

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, revenue of Rs 3.TAG_OPEN_div_19 27 billion has been collected. This is an increase of Rs 8.86 crore compared to the same period last year.

Similarly, in the first six months of the current fiscal year, Rs 1.88 billion has been collected as excise duty, Rs 593.27 million as income tax, Rs 467.13 million as value added tax, Rs 277.33 million as health risk tax, Rs 36.94 million as interest tax and Rs 8.12 million as restoration tax.TAG_OPEN_div_17

In the same period of the last fiscal year, Rs 3 TAG_OPEN_div_15.19 billion revenue was collected.

{{TAG_OPEN_div_13} The office has enlisted 33,596 taxpayers towards income tax, 5,849 for value addition, 1,598 for excise duty, 711 for withholding and 81,812 for personal tax.

Yukta Prasad Subedi, chief of the office, said that Rs TAG_OPEN_div_11 100 million arrears were recovered through campaigns including reaching the doorsteps of taxpayers who were reluctant to pay tax, reminding them through telephone and SMS, and publicizing tax exemption facilities.
