Two more industries come into operation in Hetauda Industrial Zone

Kathmandu. The Hetauda Industrial Area in Makwanpur district has been increasing in the recent period. In this connection, two more industries have come into operation in the industrial zone of late.

According to Ramesh Raj Nepal, information officer at the Industrial Area Management Office, Precious Oyst Refinery Pvt Ltd has started trial production from a new industry from the third week of January to produce new metals by processing old electronic goods. According to him, this type of industry is probably the first time in Nepal that such an industry has come into operation.

Similarly, Radha Krishna Synthetic Pvt Ltd has started production of plastic sacks since last November. According to Information Officer Nepal, among the industries that have been closed for a long time, Nepal Brewery is preparing to operate within a few days with new management while Tripura Industries is going to operate a toba factory as a new industry.

Information Officer Nepal said that the roto printing industry (printing on plastic) and Nobol packaging have shut down production due to lack of investment for the past few months. Currently, 13 industries of different types are under construction in the industrial zone. According to him, most of the industries under construction are in the final phase of construction.

Established with the financial assistance of the US government on December 3, 2020, there are 147 industries and establishments operating on leased land in the industrial zone.

Spread over an area of 3,228 ropanis, the industrial area is occupied by food industry, United Brewery (beverages), Gorkha Brewery Company, Asian Paints, animal feed industry and cartoon industry.

Similarly, the government-owned Hetauda Milk Distribution Project, the Province Food and Quality Control Office, the Province Seed Company, the Province Soil Testing Office, the Area Police Office and the Nepal Bank Limited Hetauda branch are in operation.

Currently, 2,178 ropanis of land has been leased out, 26.52 ropanis of vacant land and 597 ropanis of road network, electrification, drainage and other infrastructures have been constructed for utility services. There are 10 industrial buildings, 11 warehouses and 34 other buildings.
