Real estate business fails to register Rs 5 billion revenue in January

Kathmandu. The land revenue offices across the country collected Rs 5.09 billion in revenue in the first six months of the current fiscal year. The revenue collection was Rs 5.17 billion in the month of January last year.

According to the Department of Land Management and Records, which keeps track of revenue collection across the country, the real estate transaction has not increased significantly.

According to the department, a total of 50,837 documents were passed in the month of February. There has been a slight increase in the number of documents passed in January this year as compared to last year.

According to the department, the department had collected Rs 315,872,488 as service tax and Rs 2.68 billion as registration fee in the month of February.

Similarly, Rs 1.96 billion has been collected as capital gains tax, according to the department.
