Kathmandu. Gyanendra Lal Pradhan and Independent Power Producers’ Association of Nepal (IPPAN) Chairman Ganesh Karki are the major promoters of the hydropower sector.
The company is issuing 12,86,500 units shares to the general public. The company is developing 26 MW Upper Khudi Hydropower Project in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality of Lamjung district. The total cost of the project is Rs 5.38 billion. The project cost per megawatt is Rs 20.69 crore.
The project has 27 years and five months remaining to get the power license. The tenure for return of general investment of the project is 7.21 years. According to the project, the period for return of investment in discount is 13.42 years. The net worth per share of the company stood at Rs 137.53 as of mid-October. Similarly, earnings per share stood at Rs 4.45 crore and Rs 46.53 crore.
The company has projected net worth per share of Rs 151.87, earnings per share of Rs 25.73 and profit of Rs 803.963 crore in the fiscal year 2082/083. Similarly, in the fiscal year 2083/84, the net worth per share is Rs 161.93, earnings per share is Rs 10.06 and profit is expected to reach Rs 95.99 crore.
Similarly, in the financial year 2084/85, the net worth per share is estimated to be Rs 174.65, earnings per share of Rs 12.72 and profit of Rs 1.15 billion.
Care Nepal has assigned ‘Care-NP Double B’ Issue rating to the company’s IPO issuance. This indicates that there is a moderate risk to the company’s ability to meet its financial obligations.
Gyanendra Lal Pradhan is the largest shareholder in the company. Pradhan has investment of Rs 26,52,42,600 in the company. His share in the total investment is 21.39 percent.
Likewise, Baidic Hydro Investment has 7.13 percent and Super Khudi Investment has 5.93 percent stake in the company.
Likewise, IPPAN Chairman Ganesh Karki earned Rs 58.917 thousand 800 or 4.75 per cent, Bimala Shrestha Pradhan Rs 47,75,900 i.e. 3.80 per cent, Batu Lamichhane Rs 28.917 thousand 800 i.e. 2.33 per cent, Kabita Lamichhane Rs 28.85 lakh (2.30 per cent) and N Maharjan Rs 27 million (2.18 per cent). Yuga Jung Karki owns Rs 2,69,68,800 (2.17 per cent) while Varan Lamichhane owns Rs 2,69,18,800 (2.17 per cent).
Likewise, BG Group Pvt Ltd has 2.11 per cent share, Jigyasa Lamichhane has 2 crore 61 lakh 50 thousand or 2.11 per cent, Vivena Lamichhane has 2 crore 61 lakh or 2.11 per cent share, Shankar Prasad Sharma has 25 million or 2.02 per cent share, Kalpana Aryal has 25 million or 2.02 per cent and Yug Holdings Pvt Ltd has 2.01 per cent.
Currently, Chetan Pradhan is the chairman of the company. He holds Rs 1,22,87,000 (0.99 per cent) stake in the company. Ganesh Karki is the managing director of the company. Similarly, Batu Lamichhane, Nivita Pradhan and Dal Bahadur Bista are the directors of the company.
Gyanendra Lal Pradhan and Bimala Shrestha Pradhan are the Chairperson and Directors of Super Khudi Investment Pvt. Ltd.
Batu Lamichhane and Ganesh Karki are the directors of BG Group. Yun Maharjan and Kabita Lamichhane are the directors of Vedic Hydro Investment Company.
Similarly, Yug Jung Karki is the director of Yuga Holdings, Kumud Kumar Dugar is the chairman of Nepal Hydro Developer and Gyanendra Lal Pradhan is the chairman of Hydro Solutions. Pradhan and Karki Group have invested heavily in this project.
