Kathmandu. Nabil Bank, Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital and Seti Provincial Hospital have jointly organized ‘Nabil Free Burn Treatment Camp’ at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi. According to the bank, the camp to be held from February 26 to 28 will benefit the victims of burnout incidents.

The camp was organized by Nabil Bank as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. The bank has also mentioned that such camps will start from Dhangadhi and will be organized in different provinces. In the first phase, the camp will be organized in collaboration with Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital in Dhangadhi. The bank expects that more than 120 beneficiaries will be benefited from the camp.

The bank has stated that the camp will also provide counseling, treatment and surgery services to the poor and economically weak citizens who are facing long-term problems due to burnout. The bank is collaborating with FACT Nepal and Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital under Kirtipur Hospital to organize the camp.

The camp will provide free treatment to those who have suffered burns or are unable to move, those who have lost their hair, those who have had their fingers stuck to their hands and feet, those who need surgery on any part of their body due to an explosion and those who have retracted their toes.

The bank has also said that it will provide free treatment to the patients with complications at the Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital in Sankhu, Kathmandu. According to the bank, the camp has been organized in an effort to improve the lives of people suffering from burns by treating them.

According to government statistics, around 56,000 incidents of burns occur in Nepal every year. On an average, two thousand one hundred people die. Most of the survivors of burn accidents have problems with shrinking or sticking of burns. As a result, there is a risk of long-term disability in the victims.

Burn victims need immediate and special care. However, the victims do not get quality treatment on time due to the lack of a burn treatment center in their own place. The economically weak people are not able to go to Kathmandu for treatment as they are compelled to go to Kathmandu for treatment.

Nabil Bank Limited is the leading commercial bank of Nepal. Nabil Bank under its social responsibility aims to bring positive changes in the society. Through the Nabil SSE, the bank has adopted social entrepreneurship, development and job creation as one of the cornerstones of its commitment towards sustainable development.
