Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagat Kumar Thapa has stressed the need of amending the constitution to implement budget for the development of Karnali province. Thapa said this while addressing an election rally in Surkhet.

The constitution has a provision to bring the budget on May 29 and implement it from July 15. President Thapa said that the development of Karnali would not be possible without changing this system.

“If the budget of the previous fiscal year is not spent until next October, the development of Karnali will not take place,” he said, adding, “The budget will be presented on May 15.” The budget will be implemented from July. Winter will soon start in Karnali. It starts snowing. And how the budget is implemented on time. ’

According to him, the budget for the development of Karnali should be implemented by mid-October next year compared to the year it was announced. He said that the constitution should be amended to do this.

Thapa complained that the budget allocated by the government for Karnali could not be implemented due to various reasons.

President Thapa said that it is necessary to market such products rather than just singing songs of Marsi Chalam, Apple, Yarsa Gumba among others.
