Life Insurance companies surpass Rs 16 billion

Kathmandu.  Life Insurance companies have earned Rs 16.67 billion in insurance premiums in the first seven months of the current FY. According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 life insurance companies have earned the premium from the insurance company.

According to the report, the insurance business of life insurance companies has increased by 13.28 percent compared to the last fiscal year. The company had earned Rs 14.72 billion in insurance premiums in the same period of the last FY. In the first 7 months of the current fiscal year, Nepal Life Insurance has earned the highest premium. The company has been able to reach Rs 4.08 billion in the month of February.

Similarly, National Life Insurance Company is the second insurance company to expand its business the most. The company has earned Rs 1.93 billion in insurance premiums in the first six months of the current FY.  Similarly, Himalayan Life Insurance has earned Rs 1.81 billion in insurance premiums, LIC Nepal earned Rs 1.81 billion and Rastriya Life Insurance earned Rs 1.27 billion.

Similarly, Surya Jyoti Life Insurance has earned Rs 99.52 crore and Asian Life Insurance has earned Rs 92.22 crore. During the review period, Sanima Life Insurance earned Rs 69.88 crore, Sanima Life Insurance Rs 67.80 crore and Reliance Life Insurance earned Rs 63.98 crore.

Reliable Nepal Life Insurance earned Rs 50.44 crore and Prabhu Life Insurance earned Rs 45.84 crore in the same month of March. Sun Nepal Life Insurance has a business of Rs 38.35 crore in the first quarter of this month.
