Nepali Embassy in Qatar urges all to follow security directives

Kathmandu. The Nepali Embassy in Qatar has urged the Nepalis in Qatar to follow the security directives issued by the Qatari government. The embassy has urged all Nepalis in Qatar to stay safe, keeping in mind the latest situation in the Middle East.

The embassy urged people to abide by the security advisories and directives issued by the Qatari authorities, stay at home, take appropriate precautions, and refrain from believing rumors and unsubstantiated information from unknown sources.

The embassy has requested the embassy not to disseminate unverified information, news and video clips, to continuously watch and abide by the official announcements and emergency alert messages, and to maintain regular contact with the Embassy.

The embassy said it is in regular touch with Nepalis in Qatar through telephone and other means. There are currently 3.60 lakh workers in Qatar.

Tensions in West Asia have escalated since the United States and Israel launched a joint military strike on Iran on Saturday.
