Indian Airlines resumes flights to Middle East to repatriate passengers

Kathmandu. Indian Airlines has said it will resume limited business operations to repatriate thousands of passengers stranded in the Middle East due to the war.

Hundreds of thousands of South Asians have been working in various countries in the Middle East. At the same time, IndiGo has said that it will gradually normalize its air operations between the Middle East countries.

Air India Express has said that it will resume flights to Oman’s capital Muscat from Tuesday. However, flights to Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will remain suspended.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to several Middle East leaders, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and thanked them for their support in protecting Indian citizens through social media.

Several South Asians, including a Nepali in Abu Dhabi and two Bangladeshis in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, were killed in the attack.

Prime Minister Modi also spoke with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday and expressed concern about the recent developments and took stock of the safety and security of his citizens.
