Kathmandu. The Israeli military on Tuesday issued new evacuation orders for dozens of locations in Lebanon.

The Israeli military issued a statement asking residents of 50 Lebanese locations to “immediately relocate to safer places”, said Avichai Adrai, the army’s Arabic-language spokesman.

Most of the evacuation orders are in southern Lebanon, and Israel routinely targets Hezbollah infrastructure.

Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese government banned Hezbollah’s military and security activities.

The evacuation order was issued on Monday in retaliation for the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Israel on Monday bombed dozens of villages in Beirut’s southern suburbs and southern Lebanon, warning of a deadly attack in retaliation.

Lebanon’s health ministry said at least 31 people had been killed and 149 wounded in the attack.
