Rautahat. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)’s Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary has been elected as the member of the House of Representatives from Rautahat-1.

Chaudhary secured 28,946 votes in today’s vote count, according to election officer Manoj KC.

In the constituency, Ajay Kumar Gupta of CPN-UML got 10,693 votes while Anil Jha of Nepali Congress got 8,574 votes. Similarly, Nepali Communist Party candidate and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal got 7,669 votes.

Of the total 108,726 voters in the constituency, 71,156 votes were cast.
