Kathmandu. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has directed the government to take all measures to ease the distribution of petroleum products.
Issuing a press release today, NHRC Under-Secretary Shyam Babu Kafle directed the government to take necessary initiatives to regulate the habit of unnecessary storage and to protect the rights of consumers by making arrangements for the supply of essential goods.
The commission also monitored and inspected the Nepal Oil Corporation, the Department of Commerce, Nepal Food Management Company Limited and other depots selling and distributing gas.
