Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the US had attacked Kharg Island and Abu Musa Island from two UAE locations. However, no independent evidence has been made public. The UAE authorities have said the country has the right to ensure its security, but they have also pledged to exercise restraint.

U.S. officials have confirmed that the oil infrastructure is safe.
