Hetauda Cement Factory, which was shut down after Genji agitation, starts production of clinker

Kathmandu.  Hetauda Cement Industry has started producing clinker.

The Hetauda Cement Factory, which has been closed since the Genji agitation on September 10, has started producing clinker, said the industry’s information officer senior officer Hareram Acharya.

He said that preparations are underway to send the cement produced to the market along with the production of clinker and packing work. Information Officer Acharya said, “We have raw materials sufficient for two weeks, clinker is being produced from it and additional raw materials are being managed.” ”

According to him, the government has set a target of producing cement up to six hundred quintals per day, though it used to be seven to eight hundred quintals per day. The factory, established in 2033 BS at Lamsure of Hetauda, had started production cement in 2043 BS.
