Himalayan Bank to sell 10% promoter shares to general public

Kathmandu. Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) is issuing 10% stake in the promoter group to the general public. The decision was taken at a meeting of the board of directors of the bank.

The 493rd meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on Sunday has decided to convert 10 percent promoter shares into ordinary shares as per the prevailing directives of Nepal Rastra Bank. The bank is going to start this process on the basis of the existing capital.

The bank has already informed the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) about this decision. After the completion of this process, there will be a change in the share structure of the bank and the share of ordinary shares in the market will increase.
